LIGO is a bookcase designed with clarity, balance, and precision in mind. Crafted entirely from solid oak, it features a unique construction detail where the vertical legs flow seamlessly into the horizontal shelves — a sculptural gesture that eliminates hard edges in favour of soft transitions.
The name LIGO, derived from Latin, means “I connect” — a fitting reference to the elegant junctions that define the piece. More than just a functional element, the joint becomes a quiet focal point, speaking to the craftsmanship and architectural thinking behind the design.
Available in several sizes and finishes, LIGO offers generous storage while maintaining a light, composed presence. Whether in a living room, studio, or reading corner, it introduces a rhythm of form and material that is both calm and expressive — a contemporary classic built to last.
DESIGNER: Marcin Laskowski
He is the founder of TAMO, an entrepreneur, and the brand’s lead designer. Most of the collection has been created under his creative direction. Drawing inspiration from traditional woodworking techniques and a deep love for art, he has developed a unique, signature collection of furniture.
His experimental approach to form and dedication to the artistic direction of the brand reflect the true spirit of TAMO. His designs are rich in shape and fluidly merge cultural references—ranging from Gdynia modernism to minimalist Northern European design.
Marcin’s deep passion for wood and his expertise in both industrial and artisanal production processes are present in every aspect of his work.
